A group wedding ceremony in traditional Chinese style is held for 20 newly-married couples in the Civil Service Center of Dongguan, October 1st,2020.

To pay tribute to the medical workers who once joined the anti- COVID-19 fight, on October 1st, a group wedding ceremony in traditional Chinese style was held for 20 newly-married couples who work as medical staff in the Civil Service Center of Dongguan.

The event was jointly organized by Dongguan Civil Affairs Bureau, Health Bureau and the Civilization Office. Some of the newly married couples wedding ceremonies had been postponed by their work in the fight against coronavirus. The newlyweds said that they would take this as a starting point to support each other and look forward to a bright future together.

Deng Xuexian is a nurse in the Infectious Diseases Department in the city's No.9 People's Hospital. She fought on the front line of the epidemic and had to postpone her original marriage date until October 1st. Having experienced the test of the epidemic, Deng and her Mr. Right, wearing red, were deeply moved by the scene. Deng thanked her husband for his support and care during the epidemic. "After experiencing the challenge of the epidemic, we will work together to face whatever difficulties we will encounter in our future life," said the couple.
