2020 China International Food Ingredients Expo ("CIFIE") will be held in Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center in Houjie, Dongguan from October 15th to 20th. CIFIE is hosted by Specialized Sub-council of Agriculture of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Agricultural Trade Promotion Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and co-organizered by Dongguan Food Association.
This year will see an online expo held in parallel with the offline expo, serving buyers domestically and internationally. The main online platforms including Taobao, Alipay, ele.me, Yimutian shall represent the domestic market, as well as overseas platforms like HKTDC.com Hong kong and ifia/HFE Japan shall also take part in the expo. It aims to realize the closed-loop process for the procurement and sales of high-quality agricultural products.
Additionally, the expo will set up a brand zone. The online platforms have set up dedicated pages for CIFIE. Through a gourmet festival and other activities, exhibitors are allowed to sell their goods and dishes online, while providing customers with fast and convenient delivery service. Merchants can also promote their high-quality agricultural products through live broadcasts.
The exhibition shall also showcase a wide range snacks, baked foods, wines and beverages, natural agricultural products, nutritious foods, condiments, food additives, food processing equipment, food packaging and other major sections. In addition to the Chinese food that we are familiar with, some high-quality overseas products, such as white wine from Croatia, chocolate from the Czech Republic, honey from Estonia, olive oil from Greece, beer from Poland and pumpkin seed oil from Slovenia, will also be displayed. It will help to build a bridge between the world's foodservice operators and Chinese businesses.
As an exhibition city, Dongguan has attained expertise in logistics, capital flow , information flows plus experts in the field. The food and beverage processing and manufacturing industry, one of Dongguans five pillar industries, is moving towards a 100 billion-yuan industrial cluster in the city .
