Dongguan's impressive performance in urban competitiveness

In the list of competitiveness of urban living environment, Dongguan ranks 11th in China and 3rd in Guangdong.

On October 22nd, the 18th Report on China's Urban Competitiveness (hereinafter "the report") was released. It unveils the urban competitiveness of 291 cities in China in 2020.

According to the report, Shenzhen is the most competitive Chinese city for comprehensive economy, followed by Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Suzhou, Taipei, Nanjing, Wuhan and Wuxi respectively. For sustainable competitiveness, the top ten cities are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Taipei, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Suzhou, Nanjing, Qingdao and Wuhan. Dongguan ranked 19th and 15th respectively in the two lists.

It's worth noting that the report also accessed the urban environmental resilience competitiveness, among which Dongguan was the fifth in the country. Dongguan has increased its pollution treatment capabilities, which is key to improving environmental resilience competitiveness. Due to this, in the list of competitiveness of urban living environment, Dongguan ranks 11th in China and 3rd in Guangdong.
