According to a notice released by Huaibei City of Anhui Province on January 26, a passenger took the K675/678 train from Guangzhou to Wuhu, Anhui on January 24. After getting off the train, he/she tested positive for COVID-19 following a nucleic acid test at the quarantine point. The train passed through Dongguan East Railway Station.

The notice said that the case surnamed Yu arrived in Guangzhou from overseas on January 9 and was quarantined in Guangzhou for 14 days. He/she took the K675/678 train (No. 13 upper berth of No.5 carriage) from Guangzhou East Railway Station to Wuhu Station on January 24, and got off at Wuhu Station in the early morning of January 25. At 3am on January 25, Yu took the nucleic acid test at the Wuhu quarantine site and the result was positive.

The train route

According to the train route, its starting station was Guangzhou East Railway Station and it stopped at Dongguan East Railway Station in Changping Town of Dongguan City from 8:41-8:47 on January 24.

The Dongguan Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) issued a notice on Wednesday urging those aboard the same train and got off the train at Dongguan East Station on January 24, or whomever has relevant information to contact the CDC as soon as possible.
