The first "Dongguan Changping" China-Europe special freight train for "Made in Dongguan" products

On February 6, the first "Dongguan Changping" China-Europe special freight train for "Made in Dongguan" products left the Changsheng Freight Yard in Changping Town, Dongguan. It will leave China via the Alashankou Port in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and arrive in Duisburg, Germany in 16 days.

This special train carries 50 40-foot containers loaded with 523.2 tons of products manufactured in Dongguan such as small household electronic appliances and furniture, the value totaling US$ 3.832 million.

It is expected that the "Made in Dongguan" special train will help manufacturing companies in Dongguan reduce logistics costs, saving more than 1,000 yuan per container compared to transporting via other cities.

Europe is one of Dongguan's main trading partners, import sources, and export markets. The economic cooperation between the two sides has been increasingly strengthened. According to a person in charge of the Dongguan Bureau of Commerce, the Dongguan government issued special policies and measures to support the accelerated development of the China-Europe freight train service last June. The launching of the "Made in Dongguan" special train is of great significance in expanding the outbound logistics channels of products made in Dongguan and enhancing the business environment in Dongguan.

Huang Hui, deputy general manager of Guangdong Huawei Modern Logistics Co., Ltd., revealed that the company will strive to increase the number of ports listed on the China-Europe freight train route to four within this year, and increase the frequency of trains to better serve customers and local economic development needs.
