As an expat from Colombia, the second largest exporter of flowers in the world, Fernando feels at home here in Dongguan, a city decorated with flowers, trees and shrubs throughout the year. "We see beautiful landscaping in residential areas and parks, and also around the green corridors along some of the main roads. These make you feel you are in the middle of the meadow or strolling through a botanical garden when in fact, you are right in the centre of the city."

In October 2019, he went to the City's Central Square, Dongguan Avenue and Xiping Area of Nancheng District with a camera on his own, trying to focus on the landscaping in the central areas of the city.
