On May 20, Dongguan reported one asymptomatic case in Humen Town who returned from outside Guangdong Province. The case was found positive during the centralized quarantine period and has been transferred to Dongguan No.9 People's Hospital for isolation and treatment. The risk of epidemic transmission is low.

The detailed information is as follows:

The case is a 33-year-old man who has temporarily lived in Humen Town. On May 15, he took the high-speed rail (G1305) to Guangzhou from outside the province. As the key observation subject returning to Dongguan from outside the province, he was sent to the city’s centralized isolation point by a special vehicle under the closed-loop management procedure. On May 16 and May 18, he tested negative twice. However, the nucleic acid test result turned positive in the early morning of May 20. Then, he was immediately transferred to Dongguan No.9 People's Hospital for isolation and medical observation by a special ambulance in a closed-loop procedure. After further examination and expert consultation, he was diagnosed as an asymptomatic infection.

At present, the domestic epidemic situation remains severe and complicated. Therefore, citizens are suggested to stay in Dongguan and not to leave Guangdong province unless necessary. Individuals coming (returning) from outside the province shall implement 14-day health self-monitoring, and two nucleic acid tests should be taken in the first three days of returning, with an interval of 24 hours.

Wearing masks properly can effectively curb the spread of the virus, protecting yourself and your family. Please wear a mask in public places. People who experience fever, cough, diarrhoea, fatigue, etc., shall not take medicine by themselves but go to a nearby fever clinic as soon as possible with proper self-protection and private transportation.
