Recently, the citizens who shuttle back and forth between Shenzhen Guanlan and Fenggang have received a good news: the Fenggang-Guanlan Railway Bridge(凤观路铁路桥), which has been closed to traffic for more than three years, had completed the demolition of the old bridge and started the construction of a new bridge. It is expected to reopen to traffic at the end of 2022.
At the construction site, both sides of the bridge are still closed to traffic, and the excavators are busy. Part of the reinforced concrete foundation has been poured. The constructor works hard to promote the construction progress and strives to restore traffic at the end of 2022.
Deng Songxiong, the technical director of the construction party, said that the old bridge has been completely demolished and now is working on the structure construction.
The Fenggang-Guanlan Railway Bridge, whose construction length is about 850 meters and includes two-way six lanes, will be a first-class highway and urban trunk road. The roads on both sides of the bridge will be reconstructed, and the new turnaround ramps will also be set under the bridge. After the construction, the long-term congestion situation from Yongsheng Street (永盛大街) to Tianxin Street (天新街) and then the detour into Shenzhen Guanlan will be improved, the commute time from Fenggang to Guanlan will be significantly shortened.
