Dongguan government issued a notice about a forthcoming air-raid siren test. Air-raid sirens will sound across the whole city of Dongguan from 10:40 am to 11:03 am on  September 17 (Saturday).

Warnings will be issued through air defense sirens in towns and districts, Dongguan Radio and Television Station (DGTV-1, DGTV-2 programs, Radio program-1). 

The sirens will be divided into three phases.

Pre-alert

Features a repeated 36-second siren with 24-second pauses in between, repeats 3 times, total time: 3 minutes.

Air-raid alert

Features a repeated 6-second siren with 6-second pauses in between, repeats 15 times, total time: 3 minutes.

Single siren

Features a single 3-minute siren, announces that the alerts are finishing, total time: 3 minutes.

The drill aims to enhance the general public's awareness of national air defence and test the city's air-raid siren alert system. 

There is no need for panic when you hear sirens sound on September 17. All residents are advised to continue their normal schedule and life during the drill.
