From 00:00 to 12:00 on August 19, Dongguan reported 1 asymptomatic case in Shipai Town. The case returned from outside Guangdong Province and was found during the key managment period.
Detailed information is as follows:
The asymptomatic case is a 53-year-old male who lives and works in Xiangxi Village, Shipai Town(石排镇向西村). On August 11, 14 and 16, his nucleic acid test results were all negative.
On the evening of August 18, a tube of "10-in-1" mixed nucleic acid sample was tested abnormality among key personnel in non-closed-loop management. In the early morning of August 19, one of the testees was tested positive for COVID-19 individually. The result remained positive after re-collection and re-examination by Dongguan CDC. The case took flight CZ5174 to Guangzhou from other provinces on August 15, and then took a private car and returned to his residence in Shipai Town in the early morning of August 16. The case was transferred to the designated hospital for isolation and medical observation in a closed-loop procedure, and was diagnosed as an asymptomatic case after further examination and expert consultation.
To eliminate the risk of the spread of the epidemic, citizens who have taken flight CZ5174 on August 15, or have been to the following places during the following periods, please take the initiative to report immediately to the community, employers or hotel where you live.
Shipai Town
From August 16-19: No. 5 and No. 7, Yuanhu 2nd Road, Xiangxi Village(向西园湖二路5号和7号);
During 9:31-9:45 on August 16: Nucleic acid sampling point at Xiangxi Village Committee (No. 110, Xiangxi Avenue) (向西村村委员会核酸采样点（向西大道110号）);
During 11:06-23:00 on August 16, 11:06-23:55 on August 17, 11:06-16:00 and 17:31-22:00 on August 18: Dongguan Yingde Industrial Co., Ltd. (No. 2, Tanzi 3rd Road, Xiangxi Village) (东莞市盈得实业有限公司（向西村潭子三路2号）);
During 16:01-16:10 on August 18: Deng Zhuwen Clinic (No. 535, East Shipai Avenue) (邓柱稳卫生所（石排大道东535号）);
During 17:01-17:03 on August 18: Ganglian Auto Repair Factory (No. 64, Xiazeng 2nd Road) (港联汽修厂（下曾二路64号）).
The general public is requested to consciously abide by the relevant epidemic prevention and control regulations, firmly establishing the awareness that "everyone is responsible for their own health". Please wear masks properly, wash hands frequently, ensure good ventilation and maintain social distancing. Before entering public places, citizens should cooperate with the anti-epidemic measures such as taking temperature checks, wearing a mask, scanning the venue code and showing their itinerary card. Please participate in the nucleic acid tests organized by the village, community or unit where you are located.
According to the relevant requirements of epidemic prevention and control:
1. Individuals who have come (returned) from Tibet Autonomous Region on and after August 1 (from the date of leaving Tibet) should practice self-health monitoring at home for 3 days and not go out during the period. They should receive nucleic acid tests on the 1st, 3rd days, and are advised to take nucleic acid test on the 5th and 7th days.
2. Individuals who have come (returned) from outside Dongguan are required to take nucleic acid tests twice within 3 days upon arrival (with an interval of at least 24 hours) and practice self-health monitoring. During the period, it is recommended to avoid gatherings, refrain from unnecessary outings, and not go to crowded places. Please take personal protection when going out.
Residents who have not completed the whole course of the COVID-19 vaccine should take the initiative to go to the designated vaccination point to vaccinate with the vaccine. People who experience fever, dry cough, fatigue, sore throat, decreased sense of smell (taste), nasal congestion, runny nose, conjunctivitis, myalgia, and diarrhoea should go to a nearby fever clinic as soon as possible. They shall practise proper self-protection and avoid public transportation in such cases.
