From 12:00 to 24:00 on August 19, Dongguan reported 2 asymptomatic case in Shipai Town, who were close contacts of the previously reported case, found during the period of centralized quarantine.

Detailed information is as follows:

Asymptomatic case 1: Male, 52, an employee of an institution in Shipai Village, Shipai Town, living in the village. His nucleic acid test results were all negative on August 11, 14, 16 and 18.

Asymptomatic case 2: Female, 53, an employee of a company in Xiangxi Village, Shipai Town, living in the village. Her nucleic acid test results were all negative on August 11, 14, 16 and 18.

They were both close contacts of the previously positive case reported during 00:00-12:00 on August 19 and found positive during centralized quarantine. The cases were transferred to the designated hospital for isolation and medical observation in a closed-loop procedure, and was diagnosed as an asymptomatic case after further examination and expert consultation. 

To eliminate the risk of the spread of the epidemic, citizens who have taken flight CZ5174 on August 15, or have been to the following places during the following periods, please take the initiative to report immediately to the community, employers or hotel where you live. People who experience fever, dry cough, fatigue, sore throat, decreased sense of smell (taste), nasal congestion, runny nose, conjunctivitis, myalgia, and diarrhoea should go to a nearby fever clinic as soon as possible. They shall practise proper self-protection and avoid public transportation in such cases.
