The 2nd Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Philatelic Exhibition is being held for four days in Humen Convention and Exhibition Center from August 26.
This philatelic exhibition is not only the first national-level philatelic exhibition held in Dongguan but also the only cross-border philatelic exhibition in China. There are 30 provincial-level philatelic associations and associations from Hong Kong and Macao also participating. The room for the exhibition is up to 10000 square meters. There is also 2000 square meters of the multi-function hall for holding a series of activities.
More than 50 rare stamps made a debut.
This exhibition has eight exhibit categories: traditional philately, postal history, postal supplies, special philately, extreme philately, one frame class, picture postcards and experimental philately. Among the 1200 standard frame stamp exhibits, 229 frames of stamps from different associations in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and more than 50 rare stamps are exhibited, providing opportunities for the general public to enjoy the charm of the stamps.
Wang Xiaoqiang, director of the Secretariat Office of the Organizing Committee of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Philatelic Exhibition, said: "This philatelic exhibition also innovates and introduces the concept of ' Metaverse philatelic exhibition', moves the philatelic exhibition to the cloud, realizes remote viewing through various scientific and technological means, provides the audience with an immersive experience and real-time interactive virtual reality exhibition form. And it will create a precedent for China to hold national level postal exhibitions online and offline."
