On August 29, Dongguan reported 1 asymptomatic case in Dalang Town, identified during the period of centralized quarantine. Detailed information is as follows:
Asymptomatic case: Female, 39, unemployed, living in Dalang Community, Dalang Town. On August 17, 27 and 28, her nucleic acid test results were all negative.
The case was a close contact of previously asymptomatic case reported on August 27, and tested positive during the period of centralized quarantine. She was transferred to the designated hospital for isolation and medical observation in a closed-loop procedure, and was diagnosed as an asymptomatic case after further examination and expert consultation. The traced close contacts and sub-close contacts have been under management as required. Environmental nucleic acid sampling and terminal disinfection have been carried out in all venues involved.
The general public is requested to consciously abide by the relevant epidemic prevention and control regulations, firmly establishing the awareness that "everyone is responsible for their own health". Please wear masks properly, wash hands frequently, ensure good ventilation and maintain social distancing. Before entering public places, citizens should cooperate with the anti-epidemic measures such as taking temperature checks, wearing a mask, scanning the venue code and showing their itinerary card. Please participate in the nucleic acid tests organized by the village, community or unit where you are located.

Individuals coming (returning) to Dongguan from or through medium- or high-risk areas or the areas where COVID-19 cases have been reported within 7 days, please report immediately to the community, employers or hotel where you live, and cooperate with health management work including medical isolation and observation or health monitoring.
Individuals coming (returning) to Dongguan from Shenzhen are suggested to take nucleic acid tests three times within 3 days upon arrival (with an interval of 24 hours) for free and practice self-health monitoring. During the first 7 days, it is recommended to avoid gatherings, refrain from unnecessary outings, and not go to crowded places. Please take personal protection when going out.
Starting from August 29, individuals coming (returning) from Luohu District, Futian District and Buji Street in Longgang District of Shenzhen shall undergo a 5-day home-based self-health monitoring and take nucleic acid testing on the 1st, 3rd and 5th day, respectively. Please avoid going out until all the nucleic acid tests are completed.
Commuters traveled between Dongguan and Shenzhen should maintain a negative PCR test result within 48 hours, and better have a 24-hour negative nucleic acid report. If the areas where their workplace or residence are located report positive cases, the commuters must hold a 24-hour nucleic acid negative certificate. Their inmates are recommended to take nucleic acid tests twice in 7 days.
Citizens who have contact with people from Shenzhen since August 25 are advised to take nucleic acid tests three times within 3 days (with an interval of 24 hours). During the period, they should kept to themselves in their residence and workplaces. Please avoid gatherings, not go to crowded places, and take good personal protection when going out.
Individuals coming (returning) to Dongguan from other cities (besides Shenzhen) should take nucleic acid tests twice within 3 days upon arrival (with an interval of at least 24 hours) for free and practice self-health monitoring. It is recommended to avoid gatherings, refrain from unnecessary outings, and not go to crowded places within 7 days. Please take personal protection when going out.
The general public is suggested not heading for the areas with locally transmitted cases including Hainan, Xinjiang, Tibet, Qinghai unless necessary.
Individuals coming (returning) to Dongguan from the low-risk areas in Hainan province should take the initiative to report to the community, employers or hotel where you live, and practice self-health monitoring at home for 3 days (from the date of leaving Hainan) and not go out during the period. They should receive nucleic acid tests on the 1st and 3rd day, and are advised to take a nucleic acid test on the 7th day.
Individuals coming (returning) to Dongguan from the low-risk areas in Tibet Autonomous Region should practice self-health monitoring at home for 3 days (from the date of leaving Tibet) and not go out during the period. They should receive a nucleic acid test on the 1st and 3rd day, respectively, and are advised to take a nucleic acid test on the 5th and 7th day, respectively.
Individuals coming (returning) to Dongguan from the low-risk areas in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region should take the initiative to report to the community, employers or hotel where you live. They are required to take nucleic acid tests twice within 3 days upon arrival (with an interval of at least 24 hours) and avoid going out until the nucleic acid tests are completed.
Individuals coming (returning) to Dongguan from the low-risk areas in Qinghai Province should practice self-health monitoring at home for 3 days (from the date of leaving Qinghai) and not go out during the period. They should receive a nucleic acid test on the 1st and 3rd day, respectively, and are advised to take a nucleic acid test on the 5th and 7th day, respectively.
Residents who have not completed the whole course of the COVID-19 vaccine should take the initiative to go to the designated vaccination point to vaccinate with the vaccine. People who experience fever, dry cough, fatigue, sore throat, decreased sense of smell (taste), nasal congestion, runny nose, conjunctivitis, myalgia, and diarrhoea should go to a nearby fever clinic as soon as possible. They shall practise proper self-protection and avoid public transportation in such cases.
