On December 20, Dongguan Radio and Television Station launched a platform for sharing surplus medicine, which quickly received an enthusiastic reaction from the crowd. So far, more than 6,000 people have joined the mutual-help group for sharing the spare pills.

Citizens posted their drug availability and medication needs in the group. In order to provided convenient for communication and information sharing, many group members named themselves the "address + shareable/needed + medicine name". There are also groups of people who deliver medicine to those in need by couriers or errand men.

More communities, towns and districts are implementing such moves in different forms.
