In recent days, the China Toy and Juvenile Products Association announced on its official website that Dongguan is set to be designated as the "Capital of Art Toys in China." 

The official award ceremony will take place on July 20 at the 13th China International Animation Copyright Fair (the 13th ACTIF). Dongguan will become the first city in China to receive th prestigious title, an honor marking a milestone in the city's toy industry!

The toy and recreational goods manufacturing industry, which encompasses the pop culture sector, has always been one of Dongguan's advantageous traditional industries. Currently, Dongguan is home to over 4,000 toy manufacturing enterprises and nearly 1,500 upstream and downstream supporting enterprises, making it the largest toy export base in the country. More than 80% of global animation derivatives are manufactured in China, with over one-third of them produced in Dongguan.
