Recently, the section of the Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen Intercity Railway from Xixiang Station to Gushu Station successfully passed underneath the existing subway line.

The Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen Intercity Railway starts from the operational Shenzhen Airport Station of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Intercity Railway and extends to Qianhai Station, with a total length of approximately 15.2 kilometers. The line is entirely underground and includes three stations: Xixiang Station, Bao'an Station, and Qianhai Station. The designed operating speed for this project is 160 km/h, utilizing CRH6-type EMUs with eight-car formations.

Additionally, the first base slab of the Huanggang Port Station, the initial station of the Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen Intercity Railway's Qianhai-Huanggang section, was successfully poured recently, marking the official commencement of the main structural construction phase for the station.

The Qianhai-Huanggang section starts from Qianhai Station (exclusive) and terminates at Huanggang Port Station, with a mainline length of 21.158 kilometers, all underground.

The section includes two underground stations, Super Headquarters Station and Huanggang Port Station, as well as one central parking lot. The line is designed for an operational speed of 160 kilometers per hour.

Once the Xixiang-Gushu section of the Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen Intercity Railway is completed and operational, Dongguan residents will be able to travel directly to Qianhai and Bao'an urban areas by intercity trains, eliminating the hassle of traffic congestion.
