President of the International Weightlifting Federation, Mohammed Jalood, remarked that this event was not only a major milestone for Chinese weightlifting but also a global highlight for the sport. The Weightlifting Museum, as the "repository" and "headquarters" of Chinese weightlifting history, serves as a shining symbol of Chinese weightlifting on the world stage and a shared spiritual home for weightlifters worldwide. It showcases the enduring charm and value of weightlifting. Jalood expressed his hope that the museum would continue to promote the development of weightlifting culture, preserve the legacy of the sport, and serve as an important platform for global sports and cultural exchange.
That morning, Zeng Guoqiang, China's first Olympic gold medalist in weightlifting, along with 1984 Los Angeles Olympic champions Wu Shude and Chen Weiqiang, and current Olympic champions Shi Zhiyong, Hou Zhihui, Li Fabin, Luo Shifang, Liu Huanhua, and Li Wenwen, as well as renowned coaches, gathered to offer their heartfelt congratulations to the Weightlifting Museum.
