On November 1, the Dongguan Binhaiwan Bay Area signed an agreement with the Shanghai Technology Exchange (STE) International Trading Center to establish the Global Cross-Border Technology Trade (GBA) Center. This move will transform Dongguan into a central hub for cross-border technology transactions in the Greater Bay Area. Additionally, the Shanghai Lingang Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Center was inaugurated to help build a high-quality innovation service ecosystem.
The Binhaiwan Bay Area, a distinctive collaboration platform within the Greater Bay Area, is seizing the opportunity to align with the latest wave of reform and the "Golden Inner Bay" development strategy. The initiative includes a three-pronged approach, establishing a technology trading platform, an innovation service platform, and a business acceleration platform, to support a vibrant ecosystem for science and technology. This partnership will strengthen the area's commitment to high-level, cross-regional collaboration, linking the Greater Bay Area with the Yangtze River Delta and elevating innovation-driven growth.
This cross-border technology trade center is set to capitalize on the growing demand for technology in manufacturing cities like Dongguan, which is home to over 22,000 industrial enterprises and more than 10,000 high-tech companies. With the STE providing a legal and secure environment for tech trade, the Greater Bay Area hub in Dongguan will facilitate seamless transactions, enabling local industries to embrace advanced technologies at a faster pace.
