Started in June 2023, the first phase of the Dongguan Sign Project will officially open on December 12, 2024, after 18 months of construction. This newly opened area features three key components: Zhongxing Road Arcade Street, Shanzhou River (west section), and Xichenglou Park.

The Dongguan Sign Project adheres to the principle of "Revealing history and restoring the old as it was". While preserving the original appearance of the buildings, necessary structural reinforcements were made to some aging structures.

By introducing innovative and youthful brands in retail and dining, alongside preserving Guancheng's traditional brands, this project rekindles the charm of historical buildings while offering modern experiences.

Guancheng Cultural Tourism Shuttle Bus is also launched

Everyone can enjoy free round-trip transportation between "Dongguan Sign"（东莞记忆）and Xiping Metro Station（西平站）.

"The Paddle of Memory" Public Art Project

Overview: The Dongguan Sign Public Art Project connects the nostalgia of home with the allure of distant horizons, as three groups of artists deeply explore Dongguan's urban spirit and cultural landscape. This initiative merges precious traditional culture with modern aesthetics, presenting site-specific creations that belong uniquely to the city.

The debut of original IP: "Arcade"

Overview: Meet "Arcade Archie," a sociable and curious character whose name is inspired by the Cantonese pronunciation of "阿奇" (Ah-Kee) and the English word "Arcade." As a permanent resident of Dongguan Sign, Arcade looks forward to exploring the "New Dongguan" with visitors.

Yinyan Space

Overview: Featuring 35 distinctive brand stalls showcasing various styles and themes, this market is free to enter. Visitors can also participate in fun games to win small gifts.
