On December 12, the Dongguan Low-Altitude Economy High-Quality Development Conference, themed "Soaring in the Sky, Leading the Future," was held at Songshan Lake. This groundbreaking event showcased Dongguan's low-altitude economy industry chain and was the first outdoor conference of its kind in the province.

The conference invited nearly 20 leading low-altitude economy companies from across China, along with representatives from over 200 local enterprises and 100 companies from outside the city.

At the event, Dongguan signed several key low-altitude economy projects, marking a major step toward the platformization and systematization of its low-altitude economy development.

Dongguan's Low-Altitude Economy Gains Momentum

With 528 low-altitude-related companies, Dongguan ranks second in the province after Guangzhou and Shenzhen. The city has developed a mature industrial ecosystem in drone manufacturing and general aviation, supported by advanced capabilities in electronic components and power batteries, and has established innovative platforms for industry-academia-research collaboration.

Dongguan is actively promoting "low-altitude+" business models, introducing the first professional drone rescue team in the province and launching the Greater Bay Area's first commercial low-altitude customs transportation route. Applications in smart logistics, low-altitude tourism, agricultural and forestry protection, and emergency firefighting are flourishing. In the future, Dongguan will accelerate the development of drone takeoff and landing infrastructure, establish low-altitude facilities, and coordinate flight route connectivity with Guangzhou and Shenzhen, laying the groundwork for a Greater Bay Area aerial transportation corridor.

Dongguan is focusing on developing low-altitude economy demonstration projects in areas such as logistics, manned flight, tourism and emergency rescue. During the event, attendees witnessed the innovative "Low-Altitude Economy + Emergency Rescue" demonstration at Songshan Lake, which highlighted the city's cutting-edge solutions in this domain. This event brought together government, business, and academic leaders to explore the future of Dongguan's low-altitude industry and ecosystem.
