Zhongshuge Dongguan Store is set to open in the picturesque Songshan Lake, with stunning Lingnan scenery just across the lake. The bookstore, spanning four floors, is designed like a pyramid, drawing visitors upward with its dynamic structure. Spanning 1,227 square meters, each level offers a unique space dedicated to the love of reading.
The bookstore's design revolves around the theme of "Time Clock Tower." Stepping inside, visitors are surrounded by towering bookshelves, while massive gears crisscross the space, symbolizing the continuous, timeless movement of the city. A "Time Ring" leads to a wooden staircase, guiding visitors further into a space where books form a clock face, representing the passage of time in Dongguan's rich history. As visitors make their way through each layer of the bookstore, they take another step through time, closer to their dreams.
Above, the twisting pipes of the café area extend, creating a unique fusion of technology and nature. Here, the smell of coffee mixes harmoniously with the scent of books, offering an inspiring environment for creativity. The café can seat nearly 100 people, providing a space where visitors can enjoy a cup of coffee while exploring new ideas.
Moving upstairs, visitors enter the children's area, a 106-square-meter space filled with inspiration. It continues the time-and-technology theme, with starry skies and bold lines decorating the walls. The enormous gears symbolize creativity and imagination, each child who steps inside will be encouraged to create their own whimsical answers to life's big questions.
The Dongguan Zhongshuge will not only be a place to buy books, but a cultural hub.
