Dongguan is gearing up for one of its biggest events of the year, the 16th Taiwan Famous Fair-Dongguan, set to take place from September 11 to 14. This year's theme, "Chain Fusion, Smart Vision," reflects the event's dual focus on deepening cross-strait economic cooperation and showcasing innovation. With an exhibition area of 33,000 square meters, eight major theme pavilions, and 1,881 booths from 671 exhibitors, the 2025 one is the largest in the fair's history. 

The Taiwan Famous Fair has long been a bridge linking Dongguan and Taiwan, and this year's highlights show just how far the partnership has come. For the first time, a special Asian Taiwan Business Pavilion will feature companies from Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and other countries, reflecting the growing global reach of Taiwanese enterprises. Meanwhile, more industry associations from Taiwan, particularly in electronics and machinery, are joining, underlining the fair's role in advancing industrial collaboration. Young entrepreneurs from Taiwan will also bring fresh perspectives, while the "Island Style Promenade" will give visitors a taste of authentic Taiwanese culture and cuisine.  

PART/1 "Six New" experiences       

Organizers have dubbed this year's upgrades the "Six New" features. These include: 

1️⃣New overseas pavilions bringing together Taiwan-invested companies from across Asia. 

2️⃣New associations from Taiwan, such as the Machinery Industry Association, with 58 member firms making their debut. 

3️⃣New flavors in the "Island Style Promenade," where 122 Taiwanese exhibitors present one specialty per county, from pineapple cakes to Alishan tea. 

4️⃣New cultural showcases with four themed days, featuring lion dances, Taiwanese folk music, and even street dance fused with Cantonese opera. 

5️⃣New integration highlights, spotlighting Dongguan-Taiwan cooperation through the Taiwan Business Tower, High-Tech Industrial Park, schools, hospitals and more. 

6️⃣New youth exchanges, including innovation forums and city tours for Taiwanese entrepreneurs. 

PART/2 One-stop food, culture and shopping      

Beyond trade, the Taiwan Famous Fair promises a one-stop experience for eating, shopping, and cultural exploration. The Island Style Promenade recreates iconic Taiwanese scenes such as the Miaoli Old Mountain Railway and Hakka Roundhouses, paired with local delicacies like Lukang oyster omelets and Taichung sun cakes. Provincial pavilions add further variety, from Hubei's herbal medicine heritage to Wenzhou's poetic landscapes. 

Town-level pavilions from Dongguan will also take center stage, presenting cutting-edge achievements in electronics, machinery, and smart manufacturing. Each pavilion blends local culture with modern design, creating an immersive journey through Dongguan's diverse industries. 

What makes the Taiwan Famous Fair stand out is its emphasis on public participation. Visitors can follow suggested touring routes, stamp their way through themed cultural, technology, and innovation trails, and redeem exclusive cultural gifts. Daily lucky draws at the main stage will give away smartphones and other prizes. Meanwhile, the AI Pavilion and Youth Pavilion will offer interactive demos of the latest smart technologies. 

With its mix of business matchmaking, cultural immersion, and hands-on fun, the 2025 Taiwan Famous Fair-Dongguan is more than a trade show, it's a celebration of connection, innovation, and shared prosperity.
