To strengthen civil defense preparedness and raise public awareness of national defense, the Dongguan Municipal People’s Government will conduct a citywide air raid siren test on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:23 a.m. 

During this period, all parks, towns, and districts across Dongguan will activate air defense sirens. At the same time, Dongguan Radio and TV Station (TV Channels 1 & 2 and Radio Channel 1) will broadcast corresponding alarm signals. The test will include three types of signals: 

•  Pre-alert: Three long sirens (36 seconds on, 24 seconds off), repeated 3 times (total 3 minutes).  

•  Air raid alert: Continuous short sirens (6 seconds on, 6 seconds off), repeated 15 times (total 3 minutes).  

•  All-clear siren: One long siren lasting 3 minutes.        

This is only a test. Residents are advised to remain calm and continue with their schedule.
