For police officers, helping residents recover lost items may be part of their daily routine. But for two foreign visitors in Dongguan, it was an unforgettable experience that left them praising: Chinese police are the best!
Recently in Dalang, two Russian women reported to local police that they had accidentally left their handbag in a car. With limited Chinese and little familiarity with the area, and facing an early departure the next day, they were anxious and distressed.
Officer Lu Chibin, head of the Dajingtou Police Station, immediately stepped in. Despite the language barrier, he patiently reassured the visitors and carefully gathered details about their journey. Using surveillance footage and tracing the vehicles one by one, Lu and his colleagues tracked down the driver in Dongkeng Town later that night. By around 23:00, the missing bag was safely recovered.
When the two women received their belongings back, relief turned to amazement. They repeatedly thanked the officers and expressed their admiration for the speed and efficiency of the Dongguan police. Moved by the experience, one of them even wrote down a simple but powerful phrase: "China's policemen is best."
This simple phrase carried deep meaning. It was not only gratitude for the officers' swift action, but also a sincere recognition of the safe and trustworthy public security environment in China.
