Dongguan's retail scene is set for a major boost as construction officially begins on the city's second Sam's Club, located in the heart of Houjie's Central Business District (CBD).

With a total investment of about 491 million yuan, the new Sam's Club covers a land area of 43,446.92 square meters and a total building area of over 66,000 square meters.

The three-story structure will feature a 21,000-square-meter retail space on the first floor and more than 1,000 parking spaces on the upper levels, designed to offer members a comfortable and convenient shopping experience.

According to the project team, construction permits were obtained on October 29, and work has since begun on land leveling and foundation piling. The main structure is expected to be completed before the Spring Festival in 2026, with the store officially opening by December next year.

Surrounding infrastructure is also rapidly developing to support the new business hub. Road upgrades and traffic improvement projects across Houjie CBD are underway, ensuring better connectivity and smoother access once the store opens.

With Sam's Club at its core, the area is expected to attract more high-end retail, business offices, and residential developments, transforming Houjie CBD into a vibrant urban center that blends commerce, lifestyle, and convenience.
