Each year, when the bald cypress trees turn shades of amber, rust, and deep red, Dongguan quietly transforms. Hidden in the heart of the city, Dongguan Central Park becomes a living oil painting.

Located in Nancheng, the park is often described as the city's "green lung." Clear lake water mirrors the sky and trees like polished jade, while winding bridges lead visitors deeper into the landscape. Cross one of these bridges, and the bald cypress forest slowly unfolds, surrounding the lake and wetlands in layers of color.

Some trees rise directly from the water, their reflections doubling the scene; others stand quietly among woodland paths. With every step, the view changes, golden leaves, crimson trunks, and dark shadows blending like brushstrokes on canvas. Sunlight filters through the branches, scattering across the lake, and for a moment, time seems to slow.

A wooden boardwalk traces the shoreline, offering the best way to experience the forest. Pause on the bridge to take in the panorama, walk beneath the trees as leaves brush past your shoulders, or lean against the railing and watch the mirrored world below.
