According to the Guangdong Meteorological Service, a new round of widespread rainfall will affect southern China from February 25 to 27, marking the first large-scale rain event in Guangdong this year. Parts of South China may experience heavy rain or even rainstorms, accompanied by thunderstorms.
Rain will continue from February 28 to March 2, with light to moderate showers across the region and localized heavy rainfall in some areas.
In Dongguan, rain will gradually intensify starting tomorrow and is expected to last for about a week. Showers, thunderstorms and periods of moderate to heavy rain are forecast. At the same time, a weak cold air system will move in, bringing temperatures down, with daytime highs dropping to around 23°C.
With increasing rain and fog, roads may become slippery and visibility lower, especially during morning and evening commutes. Residents are advised to carry umbrellas, dress appropriately, and drive carefully.
