On April 24, a 16-member media delegation from 10 Arab countries, including Mauritania, Algeria, Egypt and Morocco, visited Dongguan, touring sites such as the National Artificial Intelligence Pilot-Scale Facility, tech company OPPO and MixC Village commercial complex. They praised that Dongguan is no longer just a manufacturing base, but an emerging center for technology and AI.

The visit began at the National AI Pilot-Scale Facility, the first public service platform of its kind in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area dedicated to artificial intelligence. Focused on areas such as smart manufacturing and smart cities, the platform provides a crucial testing ground for bringing AI technologies from the lab to real-world industrial use. At OPPO, they learned how the company has grown from a popular smartphone brand in the Middle East and Africa into a global tech player with a broader ecosystem strategy.

For many visitors, the transformation was striking. A senior Palestinian media professional, visiting China again after 18 years, said the change was "completely different" from his earlier impressions. He described Dongguan as evolving into a technology and AI hub, noting that innovations are already shaping everyday life.

He also highlighted China's openness in sharing technological advancements. "China has become a global leader in this field. While some Western countries impose restrictions and monopolies in AI, China is making its achievements accessible without barriers. This makes us feel comfortable and confident in using these technologies, which can greatly improve efficiency and quality of life."
