The 16th China International Animation Copyright Fair (ACTIF) will run from August 6 to 10 at the ACTIF Center in Shipai Town, Dongguan. The five-day event will bring together more than 2,200 animation IPs, brands and creative properties presented by around 500 companies and organizations.
Spanning 33,100 square meters, 25 percent more than last year, the fair promises much more than a conventional trade show. Visitors can browse and buy art toys, discover new animation and film IPs, and explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping the industry. A dedicated digital innovation zone will showcase technologies including AI-generated animated characters and virtual humans, while special displays will reimagine cultural treasures such as Dunhuang art, Sanxingdui and oracle bone inscriptions as contemporary collectibles.
Film fans will also have the chance to watch award-winning works from major international festivals, including Annecy and Cannes. A total of 98 international IP exhibitors from more than 20 countries and regions, including the United States, France and Italy, will participate.
Moreover, a citywide animation and art toy carnival will feature mecha parades, esports tournaments and a crossover performance combining a robot band with an animation-themed symphony. Throughout August, ACTIF ticket holders can also enjoy special offers at participating attractions, hotels and restaurants, while themed bus routes will make it easier to explore Dongguan's food, culture and art toy scene. With exhibitions, shopping, screenings and interactive entertainment all in one trip, ACTIF is shaping up to be one of Dongguan's most colorful family-friendly events of the summer.
