On September 7, Huawei unveiled two new smartphones，the triple foldable Huawei Mate XT 2 Extraordinary Master and the first wide screen bar style Huawei Pura X View. Both new models are manufactured at Huawei’s Southern Terminal Factory in Songshan Lake, Dongguan, truly “Dongguan made.”

Currently, the output value of the new-generation information technology sector in Songshan Lake exceeds 440 billion yuan, accounting for half of Dongguan’s trillion-yuan-level pillar industry. As of August 2026, the cumulative number of devices in the OpenHarmony ecosystem had exceeded 1.35 billion, while the number of HarmonyOS 6 powered devices had surpassed 80 million. Since its debut in Dongguan in 2019, HarmonyOS has grown into one of the fastest-growing smart device operating systems in history.

As more product lines join the ranks of “Dongguan made,” Huawei’s manufacturing footprint in Dongguan continues to expand, allowing the “Dongguan made” brand to continue to shine in the smart device sector.
