On the evening of September 13, the 2026 Guangdong City Basketball League All-Star Game and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Basketball Invitational Tournament concluded at Chang'an Sports Park Gymnasium in Dongguan.

Top players representing 21 cities across Guangdong shared the court with teams from Hong Kong and Macao. The Eastern All-Star Team defeated Macao 75-73 in overtime to claim the championship, while the Western All-Star Team beat Hong Kong 87-81 to finish third.

Macao player Lai Ka-tung said that he was delighted to return to Dongguan and praised the electric atmosphere inside the arena. Hong Kong player Chan Man-to noted that Dongguan has a well-developed youth basketball training system, and appearing alongside an NBA star was a rewarding experience. During the event, teams from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao also visited schools and Dongguan's smart manufacturing facilities, promoting youth exchanges among the three regions.

Off the court, a basketball carnival featuring 68 booths brought together Guangdong-made goods, trendy toys, intangible cultural heritage, and local cuisine. Nearly 60 viewing sites across Dongguan also broadcast the games live. More than 3,000 gifts worth over 300,000 yuan were handed out to spectators, underscoring its vibrant identity as a "National Basketball City."
