Residents who have traveled to high-risk, medium-risk areas and key venues, or have been exposed to positive cases and their sub-contacts, are required to report to the community or workplace immediately, take two nucleic acid tests in three days and cooperate with epidemiological investigations, according to Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission.
Guangzhou had reported a total of 98 locally transmitted cases from May 21 to June 6, including 84 confirmed cases and 14 asymptomatic carriers. All the cases are under treatment and quarantine at the Guangzhou No.8 People's Hospital.
The Commission also reminds the public that it is everyone's duty to cooperate with epidemiological investigations, and provide true and detailed personal information. Otherwise, one may face legal actions for disrupting pubic service and impairing the prevention and cure of epidemic diseases.
The city has disinfected all key venues and communities (listed below with English translation for reference only) where the cases have been.
