South China's Guangdong Province reported two new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases on Monday, according to the provincial health commission.

One case was reported in the provincial capital Guangzhou and the other in the city of Shenzhen.

Guangdong on Monday also reported eight imported confirmed cases and 11 imported asymptomatic carriers.

By Monday, Guangdong had reported a total of 2,635 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 1,083 imported ones. Currently, 202 patients are being treated in hospitals, said the provincial health commission.
