On December 28, Dongguan reported no new confirmed or asymptomatic case of COVID-19. On the same day, Dalang Town carried out the eighth mass nucleic acid testing. A total of 827,560 samples were collected in the town, all negative. Since the fourth round of mass testing in the town on December 18, the following five consecutive rounds of test results have been negative.

According to the national and provincial work requirements, and with the approval of the Dongguan COVID-19 Prevention and Control Headquarters, starting from December 29, six communities in Dalang Town of Dongguan, including Block 3, Building 1 of Country Garden residential quarter in Changfu Community (大朗镇长富社区碧桂园首座3栋), No. 76-80 Shajing Street, Caibian Village(蔡边村沙井街76-80号), No. 20, Alley 5, Jinli Road, Caibian Village (蔡边村金丽路五巷20号), No.92-146,  Street 1, No.1 Industrial Zone, Changtang Community(长塘社区第一工业区一街92-146号), Jun'an Yaju, No. 197-199, Road 1, District 3, Changtang Community (长塘社区三区一路197-199号君安雅居), Yi'an Shishang Apartment Building, No. 63, Yi'an Road, Dajingtou Community (大井头社区怡安路63号怡安时尚公寓), are adjusted from a medium-risk area to a low-risk area. The risk levels of other sites remain unchanged.

The Office of COVID-19 Prevention and Control Headquarters in Dalang Town also issued a notice today that there has been no community-infected case in Dalang Town since December 18, and the results of five consecutive rounds of large-scale nucleic acid tests were all negative. In accordance with relevant regulations, it has decided to adjust the traffic restriction measures, stop granting green licenses to vehicles and check it. The adjustment will become effective from 10:00a.m. on December 29, 2021. Vehicles and personnel who need to come in or out of Dalang town need to strictly comply with protective measures such as getting temperature and health code checks and then be allowed to access in an orderly manner.
