On April 4, Dongguan reported 1 asymptomatic case in Shijie Town, who was a close contact of the positive cases reported previously and was identified during centralized quarantine. She has been transferred to Dongguan No.9 People's Hospital for isolation and treatment. The venues involved have undergone environmental sampling and disinfection.

The patient is a 29-year-old female employee of a company in Hengjiao Village, Shijie Town, currently living in the village. From March 26 to April 2, her nucleic acid test results were all negative.

Starting from April 5, 2022, one area in Zhongtang Town, Dongguan City has been adjusted from a medium-risk area to a low-risk area, which is: No. 3, Industrial Road, Huangchong Village, Zhongtang Town (中堂镇潢涌村工业路3号). The risk levels of other areas in the city remain unchanged.
