The Spring Festival is approaching. To meet people's cultural needs, while following the requirements for epidemic prevention and control, various departments and towns throughout the city have planned a series of cultural, tourism, and sports activities during the Chinese New Year to create a peaceful and festive atmosphere for the residents.

According to statistics, Dongguan will host 327 cultural, tourism, and sports activities during the Spring Festival this year, including 171 online activities and 156 offline activities.755 cultural areas, 34 public libraries, and cultural centers, 7 municipal museums, and 561 cultural service centers at villages (communities) will open to the public free of charge. 22 tourist routes have been launched and 18 A-level tourist attractions will be fully open.

Besides, to further meet people's needs for sports and leisure, a total of 864 public sports facilities will open to the public, 693 of which will be free of charge during the Spring Festival holiday. 

Under the requirements for epidemic prevention during the 2021 Spring Festival, all entities will pay close attention to epidemic prevention and formulated emergency response plans to ensure that the general public can enjoy the cultural feast.

For cultural and entertainment venues such as museums, libraries, cultural centers, art galleries, gymnasiums, theaters, cinemas, KTVs, and tourist attractions, epidemic prevention and control guidelines will be strictly implemented to reduce the risks that may be caused by crowded areas. For example, the attendance rate shall not exceed 75% of capacity, reservation policies, visitor cap, staggered access, body temperature check, health code checks, ventilation, disinfection, and entry registration.
